Boo! Happy Halloween

Hi Family and Friends! Happy Halloween!

Well it hasn’t been too long since you’ve heard from me last! Just a few things happened this last week.

Wednesday: we finished up our p-day. This was our temple day for other missionaries who hit a 6 month anniversary. We had our ward Halloween party that night. It was great. Phil came to it and surprised us! He is friends with another member in the ward and had a good time talking. We aren’t
currently working with Phil, but he still comes to our weekly classes and such.

Thursday: We had interviews with the Mission President. I prepared a few things for district meeting, but ended up mostly being President and Sister
Bateman talking to us. It was GOLD. President Bateman talked about being “Knit” together in unity with your companion and what that means. Then he talked about Goal setting and how it is an act of faith. Preach my Gospel says” Goals reflect the desires of our hearts and our vision of what we can
accomplish. Through goals and plans, our hopes are transformed into action. Goal setting and planning are acts of faith.” He asked us “what do you
desire?” Our vision is to help our brothers and sisters enter the Celestial Kingdom in the highest degree. Because of that and a few other things, Elder Scriver and I are increasing our vision of what we can accomplish by Faith.

Friday: We sent a few min helping an investigator rakes some leaves and planned for the next week. We visited the Hanna family that night after teaching the restoration at a dinner appt. Sister Hanna’s daughter Kris has 3 kids who are not members of the church. Kris hasn’t been to church in
many years, however her and her kids came to the Halloween party! We weren’t expecting that at all! They loved it. Kris told us later that her son Blake really likes seeing us because he loves how we ask him how he is doing. So sweet. There are many thing happening in this house that are hard
to explain in an email, know that our influence in that home is softening hearts.

Saturday: We taught Chloe! She is getting ready for her baptism on the 12th. She is nervous. The Young Women are really excited, they are planning
on singing in her baptism. We taught her the Word of Wisdom. We spent the rest of the day out finding. We gave out 2 book of Mormons, also got a lot of mad people and doors closed… But thats okay! We ended the night with the adult session of Stake Conference. It was one of the best stake
conferences I have been to. The topic was about Missionary work, and rooting our faith in Christ.

Sunday: It was Stake conference! Again, it was really good and uplifting. President and Sister Bateman spoke at it. President went ham with his remarks. So good. He committed the members to ask us what our weekly goals are every time they see us, and to have us share the restoration message with them. We had members ask us later in the afternoon as we did share that message with them. There are many members in the ward that have desires to share the gospel, however for one reason or another need more confidence and faith. We have been working to help them. It has been such a big blessing to be in their homes and to bless their lives.

I love my mission so much. This may be my last week here in the ward. We have a big week ahead of us and we are very excited.

The Gospel is real! I love it! Have a great week.
