Weekly Adventures from Rockwood

Hi Family and Friends!

This week has been great! We have been seeing miracles happen in our lives and others we are working with.

First off, our bishop got a call from a lady needing help moving and loading her truck. He just happened to be at the church during the time she called. We came with our Bishop and some other missionaries, and proceed to help her load her 26′ truck (she really needed a 30′ truck), and packed it really tight. Anyways, because we were so willing to help her, she started asking us questions about the church, why there would be willing people to take a majority of their day to help a person like her. She learned that not only do we do this out of service and love, but that our church is founded on service. We talked about the Plan of Salvation and many other great topics and gave her a Book of Mormon. She is going to listen to it on her way to California where she is moving too. Her ex-husband was also there and very touched as well. It wasn’t a coincidence that this all happened. Elder Knapp and I have been praying for opportunities to serve and find people to teach. Even though she is moving to California, she is defiantly prepared by the Lord, we were just the first steps for her.

Phil was in the ER for a few days with some heart troubles. He is doing better now.

We’ve been asking members of the ward to pray for us as we visit these people, and right before our visit with Dick this week, we asked just that. Not only was reading the Book of Mormon on his mind, but we also learned some concerns that we would have never known about if we didn’t feel inspired to ask him and pray that his heart would be open. Prayer is real!!

We have also been talking with the Ward on how we can better serve them, and our prayers were answered as we discussed ways we can continue to progress and help. Alma 37:40 And it did work for them according to their faith in God; therefore, if they had faith to believe that God could cause
that those spindles should point the way they should go, behold, it was done; therefore they had this miracle, and also many other miracles wrought
by the power of God, *day by day.*

The Gospel touches and changes lives. God does indeed live, and so does his Son Jesus Christ. His Gospel is restored and on the Earth by a living
prophet. What a blessing it is to share that with our brothers and sisters.

Thank you for all the prayers. God bless you, Till we meet again.
