Happy June!

Hi Family and Friends,

We have seen some good progress with our Investigator Jasmine this week. She made it to our BBQ on Monday with the ward. The ward is really helping her, and wants to get her daughter involved in Young Women are already making steps to reach out. She came to our weekly gospel principles class where we talked about Alma 32 and faith in our lives. We even had Irena who is Jewish come and wanted to learn more. We even met with Jasmine and she fed us authentic Indian food with our mini missionary this last week. I also leaned she is from Jordan.

Other than that we have been spending time to get to know the ward more and gaining their trust. The members here are great. We had a break the fast after church yesterday after a really great testimony meeting on missionary work. The ward is really picking up and trying to do the Set a Date program by Elder M. Russel Ballard.

This week we will be having zone conference – President and Sister Morgan’s last round of zone conferences. We have Michael J. Bateman coming in two weeks. It will be a time of change, but willing to move forward and run with what he wants to do. It will be sad to see President and Sister Morgan
leave.

Other than that things are well. I’ll leave a quick thought:

Had it not been [said he] for the principle of faith the worlds would never have been framed, neither would man have been formed of the dust. It is the principle by which Jehovah works, and through which he exercises power over all temporal as well as eternal things. Take this principle or attribute—for it is an attribute—from the Deity, and he would cease to exist. . . . Faith, then, is the first great governing principle which has power, dominion, and authority over all things; by it they exist, by it they are upheld, by it they are changed, or by it they remain, agreeable to the will of God. Without it there is no power, and without power there could be no creation or existence! [Lectures on Faith, Lecture First, 16, 24]
