Knock on wood?

Hi Family and Friends!!

This week has been great! The members in this ward are really awesome. We’ve been spending a lot of time working with them, and gaining their trust, to help them turn around and share the gospel with their friends and family. I love the members here. Missionary work is not without members.

Jazmine is someone we had in our teaching pool for a while now. We went over a few weeks ago and she was in desperate need of a job. So we gave her the Employment Missionaries number and she is working through them for the last few weeks. No luck yet. She texted us last week that she finally wanted to meet. We came with a member, and as we sat down, she started to tell us how she has had a terrible feeling all week of evil spirits. Her family is Muslim, and when she came to the states she became Christian. She
has a lot of pressure from her family because of her change in faith. However, we began to teach the restoration and talked about how Joseph Smith too had opposition during his experience and an answer to his prayer. We talked about the Book of Mormon, and left a prayer over the home. She was going to come to church yesterday, however had someone working on her car right when church was. I see a lot of potential in her. She has a strong testimony of God and prayer.

Other than that, we are working along. We are trying to love another investigator, Dick into the Church. He is going to Carthage Jail this week with a really great family in the ward, and we are praying that he will feel something that will change his mind about becoming a member of the church – to enjoy more blessings of the gospel.

This week we have had some really great storms! Tornado weather even, but nothing happened. A new for me. Those who’ve lived in the mid-west know what I am talking about.

Anyways!! Mothers – Happy Mothers Day this upcoming week!

Elder Eyring: “… We grow closer to the Savior as we, out of pure love, serve others for Him.” As the Savior served and ministered to those around him, let us minster too through those around us. God bless!!

I live the Gospel! I love it!

Have the best week yet!
