Miracles Happen

Hi Family and Friends!

This week has been one of the hardest and best weeks of my mission so far. Things just haven’t been going great. We’ve been keeping up on our goal of
finding two new investigators each week. But none that are solid. We’ve doped several this week. All of our appointments fell through, except the new ones we were able to pick up. Even Jimmy who has been sick had to drop our appointment because of the St. Patrick’s day parade right by his house and was sick again. We’ve also been having struggles to work with our ward. By the end of the week Elder Spackman and I were pretty down. However, yesterday miracles happened, and I felt a greater love from and of God through simple acts of others and things happening that I felt a love from those around me, and I knew that God loved me. Even in our greatest hours of need, he is still there. Christ “suffered all things in the flesh, so he
can know how to succor his people” (Alma 7:12-14). Even when we feel that nobody knows how we feel, there is always one who does. Even thought the things we go through, other can’t understand or feel our individual pain, Christ can. He is our friend. John 14:27- Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. This week I have a hope that all things will work out. Because of the atonement of Jesus Christ, all things will work out in the end; there is no fear that needs be.

Jimmy has still been sick. Poor guy, he now has Pneumonia. When we were talking to him, HE FINISHED THE BOOK OF MORMON! Its crazy, because the day we called him, I too finished the Book of Mormon that very day as well!

Reading this article this morning about *The Light of the perfect day* in the Ensign; the Book of Mormon has filled my soul and life with light. I love my savior Jesus Christ. For those who don’t know what the Book of Mormon is, it is another Testament of Jesus Christ, comparable and complimentary to the Bible. It testifies of Christ, and any person who reads it and pray’s about it can draw nearer to God than any other book. Since I’ve finished, I’ve been studying the New Testament especially as we draw closer to Easter. The Lord works line upon line, precept upon precept. Its taken me a lot of studying to really understand the scriptures, and I love reading them everyday. I know that they can help us. God knows what we need as his children, and reading the scriptures he knows can bless our lives. I know the Book of Mormon is the word of God, because I have prayed about it and received an undeniable answer. I have changed so much because of it. God is real. He loves us more than we can ever comprehend.

We can never give up. Ever.

Have a wonderful week! The Gospel is Real. I live it! I love it! You can too.
